Welcome to the official website of the United Kingdom of Solmeria, a constitutional monarchy and self-declared micronation based in New Jersey, United States.

Our Story

Solmeria began in March 2026, when Nolan Hartigan and a fellow member named Luke started developing the idea for a micronation. Nolan drafted the Governing Charter, which became the foundation for Solmeria.

On April 13, 2026, the Charter was presented to a group of friends during lunch at school. Those friends became the founding Council, signed the Charter, and established Solmeria as a republic. Nolan was elected as the first President during the Council's first meeting.

On May 14, 2026, Solmeria became a constitutional monarchy. Since then, the government has gone through several changes as we worked on the Constitution and decided how the different parts of the government should operate.

Our Government

Solmeria is governed under the Constitution of the United Kingdom of Solmeria, adopted on October 3, 2026.

The Monarch is the Head of State and Head of Government. Parliament makes laws through the House of Members and the elected House of Assembly. The Council of Ministers helps with the day-to-day operation of the government, and the Crown Tribunal is the highest court.

The Constitution sets out the powers of these institutions and the limits on what they can do. Acts of Parliament have greater authority than Royal Decrees, and the Constitution is the supreme law of Solmeria.

Our Territory

Solmeria claims a defined territory within New Jersey, United States. This claim is made by Solmeria itself and does not claim to change the legal ownership of the property or the jurisdiction of the United States.

Our Purpose

Solmeria is a project focused on constitutional development, government administration, and building government institutions. Through our Constitution, laws, Royal Decrees, and other official documents, we continue to develop the Kingdom and explore how different systems of government work.
